Privacy Policy
Effective July 26, 2026
Tape to Turf ("we," "us," "T2T") provides AI-assisted feedback on baseball swing, pitching, and fielding videos. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It's written in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, use the Contact page and ask.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password — only a one-way cryptographic hash of it).
- Subscription status:which plan you're on (Free, Player, or Team) and, if you subscribe, an identifier Stripe gives us to manage your subscription. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that directly.
- Analysis data: when you upload a video for tracking, we save the computed scores, metrics, and a single small freeze-frame image captured at the key moment (contact, release, or field). See our Video & Data Policy for the full detail — the short version is: your raw video is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
- Contact form submissions:if you message us, we receive your name, email, and message via email. These aren't stored in our database — they land in our support inbox like any other email.
- Team-tier player labels:if you're on the Team plan, the optional player name you attach to a submission so you can filter your team's history.
What we don't collect
We don't use advertising trackers, third-party analytics pixels, or sell any data to anyone. We don't require access to your camera roll beyond the single video file you choose to select or drop.
Cookies
We use a single, essential cookie to keep you signed in (a random session token — not an advertising identifier). It's required for the Player Portal to work and expires automatically after 30 days or when you log out. We don't use any other cookies.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers, each only for their specific job:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe never shares your full card details with us.
- Resend — delivers the emails you send us through the Contact page.
- Neon and Netlify — host our database and website infrastructure.
We don't share your data with anyone else, and none of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Children's privacy
Tape to Turf is built for youth and amateur players, and we know many accounts belong to minors whose swings or pitches are being reviewed. Accounts should be created and managed by a parent or guardian on behalf of a player under 13 — we don't knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own account directly. If you believe a child has created an account without a parent or guardian's involvement, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your choices
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Player Portal.
- You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and everything associated with it, by reaching out via the Contact page.
- You can opt in or out of the weekly PDF email at any time from your account settings.
Security
Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), all traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), and payment data never touches our servers at all. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the same care we'd want for our own.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
